Air Conditioning Servicing and Regas

Do you know how often should you recharge your Air Conditioning?

Air conditioning in your car can lose as much as 10% of its charge every year!

This makes it less efficient, and more importantly, it may fail to keep you cool enough on those blazing summer days we have! If your A/C unit is lacking charge, then this will take longer and require more power.

Car manufacturers recommend that your air conditioning system is recharged every 2 years - annual vehicle servicing does not include this as standard. Therefore, if your vehicle is older than 2 years, it is more than likely to be overdue an air conditioning service.

Having your air conditioning unit serviced will also help to keep the air fresh, eliminating any bacterial build-ups which can cause bad odours. We work with Tunap UK, and stock a TUV approved range of Air sanitiser products.

The Benefits

  • The main benefit to your air conditioning serviced is that you will be able to effectively keep yourself cool on warm days, but there are other benefits as well.
  • Having a fully charged unit means that it requires less time to cool down, putting less strain on the engine -saving you fuel and money!
  • A fully charged system stops your vehicle misting up on those cold wintery days!

R134A gas is common in vehicles manufactured before 2014, vehicles with air conditioning manufactured since 1st January 2017 include the new R1234YF air con gas – at CR Motor engineers we can service both.
